Ferry Cross The Clarence

The Yamba - Iluka Ferry operates every day linking the the two towns at the mouth of the Clarence River. It is a very pleasant trip.

Looks a bit like our Water Taxi which runs across Elliott Bay between downtown Seattle and Alki Beach in West Seattle... nicely captured.

Lovely old ferry, reminds me a bit of the Last Riverboat Postman on the Hawkesbury.

"Ferry across the Clarence" is a great caption to this pic and reminds me of the lyrics to the song "Ferry cross the Mersey"

Ah yes ... but who pays the 'ferryman'? There is nothing nicer than that sort of ferry ride. Quite different from our Sydney ferries. But I like the contrast between the two styles.
