Huckleberry Finn on the Clarence

Kids love playing in mud! I thought about Huckleberry Finn when I saw this gang squishing the mud between their toes.

  2. A happy capture Mark -love that verb - squishing - so pleased I didn't have to wash their clothes.

  3. Oh, you don't know how many times I have read Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer when I was a kid. I love Mark Twain! I am your new follower from Rome, Italy!

  4. I don't think I could enjoy walking in such deep mud. For some reason I had nightmares about quick sands as a child and this would reactivate all my fears. I also saw a dreadful documentary a couple of years ago about a region on the Pacific north-west coast of the USA where several people died as they got stuck in the mud and the tide came. They drowned with their feet stuck in the mud.

It would take a lot of effort to make ME walk in the mud here :-)
