Glenreagh Rail

I am unsure when the Glenreagh Railway Station closed. It has become very derelict and sad.

A few memories of the old days of steam with the impressive water tower. However for rail buffs Glenreagh is an important destination. Tomorrow the good news.

  2. I really like the photo of the water tower ... the dampness of the day adds to it.

  3. Hi Mark,

The station was opened in 1912 and closed sometime after 1972.

This website is really quite good for obscure railway stations:

  4. What a pity we haven;t been able to maintain these railway lines. I love travelling by rail and it is sad to think that the decline of some of our country towns has also meant that train services have been terminated...
