B is for Brown, Bare but Blue

The road from Armidale to Gostwyck is showing the effects of winter: grasslands dried and brown from severe winter frosts and the elm trees bare of their leaves, still it was a nice blue sky day.

  1. I didn't realize it got so brown there in winter. I like that old wooden wagon.

  2. Great photo Mark. I've never seen a dray/wagon skeleton like this around our area at all.

  3. What a cool wagon! There is so much rustic beauty in your photograph. The brown grass reminds me of when I lived in that area, walking through the crunchy white grass early in the morning as the cold sum was slowly climbing.

  7. I think the countryside is quite beautiful when it is like this. That wagon in the shot is a bonus.

  10. This is a wonderful photo...and to me (being from the Western USA) the wide open skies and that wagon evoke stories of the old American West with which I am familiar.
