The Red Lion - Glencoe

Glencoe is a small village 20kms to the south of Glen Innes on the New England Highway. It is famed for it's tavern, The Red Lion.
On the day of my visit it did feel like I was in Scotland with driving rain, drizzle and swirling mists. Inside it was a warm and friendly, the perfect place to escape the weather for a few drinks and snacks.

  1. Oh this is amazing - The name sounds like the TV series I am watching at the moment "Monarch of Glenbogle" ;) - But your place seems to be a wonderful place - Thanks for showing

  2. I love that little place. Its atmosphere feels scottish (though I have never been there) but surprisingly it is actually higher in elevation than almost all of Scotland! Interestingly My father-in-law was born in the original Glencoe in the Scottish Highlands.
