The Grave of a Pet

It is very common for families to bury a beloved pet in the backyard. This substantial grave is in a beautiful location with the lichen covered fence under a graceful New England Elm. The chair provides a spot to sit and remember happy and playful times.

  1. What a totally gorgeous image, Mark. I do so like the colour and the composition. I just hope, in the future, that this remains part of the backyard, and not simply bull-dozed as being 'old hat'. I am figuring that you know the people who owned the pet. Love the iron cross. Figure it to be a cut-off concrete form.

  5. Yes, the sombre lime-green colour of the fence gives the grave a little more solemnity somehow!
