For a few weeks now the Clarence Valley has had to adjust to a new garbage service (I won't bore you with the details) but the new trucks are very cool with TV characters, Dirtgirl and Scrapboy encouraging us all to recycle more and put our kitchen waste in the green bin.
Dirtgirl is the creation of renowned Clarence Valley locals, Cate McQuillen and Hewey Eustace and has become an international hit.

they look so clean!
ReplyDeleteWe are undergoing changes to collection here too. Cool looking truck!
ReplyDeleteHa ha. You never know what is going to show up on this blog.
ReplyDeletemaybe if Toronto's new garbage collectors had such cute trucks there wouldn't be so many complaints - they would be hurrying through their route in not time!
ReplyDeleteLooks like great advertising! Hope the recycling works. I does at MY house. ;)
ReplyDeletecool truck, great message
ReplyDeleteIt looks great and I'm sure will make the message seen in a much better way... I love your blog, thank you...
ReplyDeleteNice approach! It’s great that with simple ideas like this, you already promote proper waste management and disposal and likewise encourage a lot of people to improve their recycling habits. The truck’s art would definitely draw a lot of attention to their message, especially the children given the frivolous illustration style.
