We used to get these about the house & garden a lot in the Territory, but I have never seen any here near Armidale/Guyra.I was told that they help keep snakes away. I wish we had some of these in our garden now.Keith.http://woodsrunnersdiary.blogspot.com.au/
Hi Keith, I can't remember if I have seen any Blue-Tongues on the Tablelands. I have lots around my house and they are just emerging after their winter slumbers. I am unsure about keeping away snakes, they certainly keep the snails at bay.
So where's his blue tongue??!! And where was he planning to go next?? A bluetongue used to visit our courtyard garden many years ago - even after we got a kitten. All he had to do if the kitten got too close was open his mouth and hiss!!
Great find!My blues are here and here.
Does he REALLY have a BLUE tongue? Happy Blue Monday, Mark.
Oh, my! That is so big! Too bad, can't see his Blue tongue:(Visiting from Blue Monday- hope you can sop by..http://www.mommys4seasonsjourney.com/2012/08/the-kindergartners.html
