Blue Tongued Lizard

10 comments:

  1. We used to get these about the house & garden a lot in the Territory, but I have never seen any here near Armidale/Guyra.
I was told that they help keep snakes away. I wish we had some of these in our garden now.
    Keith.

    1. Hi Keith, I can't remember if I have seen any Blue-Tongues on the Tablelands. I have lots around my house and they are just emerging after their winter slumbers. I am unsure about keeping away snakes, they certainly keep the snails at bay.

  2. So where's his blue tongue??!! And where was he planning to go next?? A bluetongue used to visit our courtyard garden many years ago - even after we got a kitten. All he had to do if the kitten got too close was open his mouth and hiss!!

  6. I would have had to use a zoom in for this shot. I would not to be close to it.
