The Old Boarding School

In 1885 the Sisters of Mercy opened a convent school in Grafton. The Boarding House was opened in 1929 and closed in 1987. It is still used by the Sisters as self-contained residential units.

  1. Such a similar style to a convent in Mornington that is being recycled as units right now! So wish these impressive old facades could be saved in their old glory!

  2. This looks identical to the convent in Narrogin WA that my mother attended in the early 1920's.
