Yamba's Beaches After the Flood
The massive cleanup is happening on Main and Turners Beaches after the very recent record flood. A Northeasterly gale and cyclonic seas blew/carried a vast amount of timber and rubbish into Wooli Bay at the mouth of the Clarence River..
Main Beach is easily accessible to heavy machinery but I don't know how they will clean Convent Beach and all the rock platforms and points, such as Craigmore Rocks and Lovers. There will be visible memories of the great flood of January 2013 for a long time to come.

Wow! That is a massive dumping! And a yellow machine comes to the rescue! There is some hope that all this will break down with weathering - especially in the less accessible areas! Impressive photos!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a beach like that.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realise you got personally caught up on the deluge ... I hope things are OK for you.
What a mess. It surely needs times to restore the beach.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots.
